RESUME

Influenced by her many years in Dance and Theatre, Blackstock combines a flowing rhythmic movement with eloquent design and bold use of color ranging from the dynamic to the subtle. She studied for years academically in the Arts. She continues to study twice a year with America's leading Watercolorists, in the pursuit of excellence.

Blackstock enjoys spending time sketching, photographing and absorbing visual information and Inspiration for paintings yet to be imagined. Her extensive travels have enriched her vision and expanded her awareness. Painting to share these experiences and feelings, Blackstock combines highly polished techniques with an inner visual representation of the beauty that surrounds her. "Art and dance are the music of my soul; they help me celebrate my love of life. In capturing some small part of God's creation, I hope to touch the senses of the viewer."

Blackstock earned her Bachelor and Master degrees from Missouri University and Wisconsin University.
She taught at Central Missouri State University
, the University of the South in Tennessee, and Western State College of Colorado.
